Textile Printing Heads

Textile printing is one of the major applications of the textile industry; it transfers patterns, images, and designs onto fabric. Among these essential parts of modern-day textile printing, textile printing head is one of the most important. These printing heads make the most critical part in the printing application of the ink or dye to fabric and must be designed and worked thermally and mechanically if quality and efficiency in production are to be ensured.

A printing head for textiles is an accurate instrument intended for digital textile printing. In simple terms, a textile printing head is a component that places an ink or dye on a given surface correctly and precisely. The printing head controls how and where dyes are applied, creating complicated patterns or designs by placing droplets of ink or dye exactly on the whole fabric surface.

There are two main types of textile printing heads:

• Piezoelectric Print Heads: These use a piezoelectric element to eject ink droplets by changing shape when subjected to an electrical charge.
• Thermal Inkjet Print Heads: These use heat to generate bubbles, which forces the ink droplets to be ejected from the printhead.
